The Classical Novice is a project by Andrea Gillum.

Although I studied music production and worked in sound, my foray into classical music has been tentative and recent. Much like the hesitant swimmer dipping their toe in the chilly spring seas, it took some time for me to be convinced to dive into the waves of classical world.

Confused and overwhelmed by the amount of music available and the jargon surrounding it I set about decoding it for myself. Along the way I found some unexpected gems and discovered that there are no rules as to what you should and shouldn’t like.  And that it’s always appropriate to drink wine at a concert.
